eINDIA 2011, 15-17 December, Gandhinagar, Gujarat
eINDIA 2011, India’s Largest ICT event took place from 15-17th December at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. The organisers of the event included Centre for Science Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) and Elets Technomedia Pvt. Ltd. eINDIA 2011 was the exhibition host to some of the latest e-solutions, services, initiatives and case studies from across India and beyond. Over 120 exhibitors from professional service providers, technology vendors, consulting firms, government agencies and national/international development organizations participated in the exhibition.

Concluded: HL7 India 2nd Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The HL7 India 2nd Annual General Meeting was held on 12 May 2011 (Thursday) 02:00pm to 05:00pm at the Hotel La Marvella, Bengaluru. During the AGM, the Annual Report from various departments was presented to the members and newly appointed Governing Council Members took charge.

New Board Formed
As part of formalization of its governance structure, the HL7 India Officer Elections for 2011-2013 were conducted between 09 to 16th March, 2011. Following the results, a new board has been formed to be effective from 01-April-2011.
The Newly Elected GC members will assume charge of office from April 01, 2011.

HL7 India partners with srii (Service Research & Innovation Institute), 1st International Conference on Services in Emerging Markets, ISB - Hyderabad
HL7 India partenered with srii (Service Research & Innovation Institute) for promoting HL7 standards in Indian market.
ISB, Hyderabad in partnership with srii is hosting 1st International Conference on Services in Emerging Market on September 23 - 24, 2010.
The objective of this conference is to provide a venue for international community including academics, government. NGOs, and industry to present, demonstrate and discuss the latest ideas about the Services Innovations which are driving the government and industry in delivering the services. This will also give an opportunity for the community to discuss and debate the state and the evolution of the Services in Emerging Markets.
The technical programme for the two-day conference will include refereed papers and case study presentations, plenary talks, panels, and tutorial sessions. For more information, please click here

HL7 WGM Meeting, May 2010
HL7 working group meetings are held three times per year and aim to support the development process of the HL7 standards. At an HL7 Working Group Meeting all HL7 Technical Committees (TCs) and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) meet to move forward with important work on their respective initiatives. HL7 India Members regularly attend these meetings and also play an important role within the Technical Committees and Special Interest Groups.
Recent WGM held on May 16-20 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sridhar Ramachandran, GC Member & Co-chair Certification Comittee, represented HL7 India at recently concluded WGM in Rio de Janeiro and apprised the committes of HL7 India recent updates and further plan.

Concluded: HL7 India Annual General Meeting (AGM)
HThe HL7 India Annual General Meeting was held on 20 March 2010 (Saturday) 10:00am to 1.30pm at the Hotel Capitol, Bengaluru. HL7 India invited "HL7 Ambassador" Mr. Gora Dutta to deliver the keynote address at the first AGM of HL7 India. During the AGM, the Annual Report was presented to the members and newly appointed Governing Council Members took charge.
During AGM, HL7 India members agreed on to create sub-comittee for web activities which will function under Technical comittee and work towards the enhanced online presence of HL7 India, Webmaster is being appointed to look after the online activities. Considering interest shown by people from diversified background for HL7 training, its being decided to have separate section on website for Education & Training.

Introductory online course: HL7 Standards V2, V3, CDA :: Creating and exchanging electronic healthcare information.
The third edition of the e-learning course on HL7 from HL7 India will start from July 21, 2010 and will continue for 14 weeks, i.e., up to October 27, 2010.
