Membership
Membership shall be available on an annual basis to
individuals, companies, public bodies and other entities
active, interested, and/or materially affected by
specifications in the field of health data acquisition,
handling, communication, and processing. Membership of HL7
India shall not be conditional on membership in any other
organisation or unreasonably restricted on basis of
technical qualifications or other such requirements.
Individual membership
- A person can become an Individual Member of HL7 India
in order to represent his/her own personal interests.

Individual membership shall be made available to any
eligible individual on an equitable basis subject to
payment of Rs 5000 by way of a Demand Draft drawn
in favor of HL7 Healthcare Standard Institute.

Attendance rights or discounted prices for members in relation to any product or
service shall apply only to the individual member and not to any product or proxy.

Individual membership confers a right to vote in any HL7 India ballot in
accordance with the applicable balloting rules.

The benefits and responsibilities of individual members are personal, strictly
non transferable and governed by HL7 India policy manual.

All individuals in India who are currently the
members of HL7 International are automatically entitled to be
individual members of HL7 India with all the
benefits, duties, responsibilities and rights
associated with Individual membership in India
including the right to vote in HL7 India ballot and
the right to serve as Officers and Governing Council
members of HL7 India. This membership is valid till
the end of their Individual membership with HL7 International

Organizational membership
- An organisation may become the Organisational member of HL7 India to represent
the interests of that organisation. This membership is open to any identifiable individual or individuals
grouped together for a common purpose.

This membership may be effected by any person within
an organisation who completes and signs/ gets signed
the appropriate membership forms and pays Rs 10000
by way of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of HL7 Healthcare Standard Institute.

This type of membership allows the Organisation to use HL7 or HL7 India copyrighted
materials for the purposes of training its employees or customers, and confers a right
to vote in any HL7 India ballot in accordance with the applicable balloting rules.

HL7 India has the rights to specify special membership terms
or subscriptions to any organization which aggregates a large number of
organisations.

The benefits and responsibilities of organizational members are governed by HL7 India policy manual
and are subject to change.

All Organizations in India who are currently the
members of HL7 International are automatically entitled to be
organizational members of HL7 India with all the

associated with Organizational membership in India
including the right to vote in HL7 India ballot and

Benefactor membership
- Organisations that are eligible for Organisation Membership obtain Benefactor Membership
of HL7 India upon payment of an enhanced subscription. Benefactor Members shall have the same rights and responsibilities as
Organisational Members.

HL7 India reserves the right to determine subscription rates and benefits applicable
to Benefactor Members. The rates, benefits and responsibilities are governed by HL7
India policy manual and are subject to change.

The annual subscription rate for this type of
membership starts from Rs 40000 upwards, and confers
the right on an organization to nominate upto 10
voting members to HL7 India. The exact fee structure
and number of voting members for an organization is
fixed at the sole discretion of HL7 India Governing
Council, and depends on factors like size and nature
of the applying organization
