New Board Formed: As part of formalization of its governance structure, the HL7 India Officer Elections for 2011-2013 were conducted between 09 to 16th March, 2011. HL7 India partners with srii (Service Research & Innovation Institute), 1st International Conference on Services in Emerging Markets, ISB - Hyderabad HL7 India partenered with srii (Service Research & Innovation Institute) for promoting HL7 standards in Indian market. ISB, Hyderabad in partnership with srii is hosting 1st International Conference on Services in Emerging Market on September 23 - 24, 2010. The objective of this conference is to provide a venue for international community including academics, government. NGOs, and industry to present, demonstrate and discuss the latest ideas about the Services Innovations which are driving the government and industry in delivering the services. This will also give an opportunity for the community to discuss and debate the state and the evolution of the Services in Emerging Markets. The technical programme for the two-day conference will include refereed papers and case study presentations, plenary talks, panels, and tutorial sessions. At an HL7 Working Group Meeting all HL7 Technical Committees (TCs) and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) meet to move forward with important work on their respective initiatives. HL7 India Members regularly attend these meetings and also play an important role within the Technical Committees and Special Interest Groups. Recent WGM held on May 16-20 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sridhar Ramachandran, GC Member & Co-chair Certification Comittee, represented HL7 India at recently concluded WGM in Rio de Janeiro and apprised the committes of HL7 India recent updates and further plan. 
Concluded: March 20, 2010: HL7 India Annual General Meeting (AGM) The HL7 India Annual General Meeting was held on 20 March 2010 (Saturday) 10:00am to 1.30pm at the Hotel Capitol, Bengaluru. HL7 India invited "HL7 Ambassador" Mr. Gora Dutta to deliver the keynote address at the first AGM of HL7 India. During the AGM, the Annual Report was presented to the members and newly appointed Governing Council Members took charge. During AGM, HL7 India members agreed on to create sub-comittee for web activities which will function under Technical comittee and work towards the enhanced online presence of HL7 India, Webmaster is being appointed to look after the online activities. Considering interest shown by people from diversified background for HL7 training, its being decided to have separate section on website for Education & Training.
